The Collective

Cornelio Aguilera he/him/el/del

Having studied as an Acting Specialist at UW Madison, Coky moved to the Tampa area and has been working professionally with the following companies since 2012: Stageworks Theatre, A Simple Theatre, The Tampa Repertory Theatre, St. Petersburg Opera Company, RQL Productions, Your Real Stories Theatre, and Jobsite Theater. Coky also organizes the “Dreamer’s Teatro Crew,” a bilingual, theatrical group out of Dade City, in collaboration with the Farmworkers Self-Help Organization. It is his honor to be working with Outcast Theatre Collective since its inception.

Lillian Almodovar 

she/her

Lillian's time with the Outcast Theatre Collective has been a bright light in a dark year. Lillian is known for her roles in The Lector, The Midwife, Lady from Havana and I'm a Cuban Sandwich. She is excited to continue working with the Outcast Theatre Collective in the coming year and wishes to thank her husband Michael for all his love and support!

Troy Brooks

he/him

Graduate of the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, Musical Theatre Class of 2007. At UCF, Troy played the lead in Zora Neale Hurston's From Sun to Sun (dir. Elizabeth Van Dyke), and originated the role of Lance in BEER! the musical! (written by Alex Oyen) which was restaged at the Orlando Fringe Festival. A member of multiple Rocky Horror casts across Central Florida, Troy also appeared in the music video for John-Allison Weiss' single ‘Fingers Crossed’. Grateful for my OTC family for bringing me back to my first love!

Keziah Brophy

he/him

Newton Brophy is an actor, writer, and theatre practitioner. In addition to his work as an Outcast Theatre Collective ensemble member, Newt serves as an Artistic Associate and ensemble member for Jobsite Theater. His hobbies include playing with power tools, pondering kitty cats, and winning staring contests with men in public restrooms.

Pamela Bulu

she/her

Pamela Bulu is a graduate of the University of South Florida and a member of the Outcast Theatre Collective. She is a tech worker by day, student by night, and artist twenty-four seven. Her artwork, ranging from paintings to relief prints, has exhibited in shows all around St. Petersburg. She is excited to use the medium of performance to explore the sentiments of her community.

Theron "T.R." Butler

he/him

Theron (T.R.) Butler brings a professional performer expertise and a corporate business mindset to the collective. Theron serves as Treasurer for the collective and Secretary on the board for the Arts Council of Hillsborough County. He is a trained actor in the methods of Stanislavsky and holds a B.F.A. in Acting from Ithaca College. Nominated for local awards, including Best of the Bay in 2018, T.R. has performed with Disney, Busch Gardens, and Kings Dominion. Since moving to Tampa in 2013, he has been actively performing with local companies including: Stageworks, Tampa Rep, American Stage, and Powerstories.

Clareann Despain

she/they

Dr. Despain is a director, professor, dramaturg, Theatre of the Oppressed practitioner, and occasional designer. For the company that became Outcast, Clareann co-directed Topdog/Underdog as well as provided the scenic design for Topdog/Underdog and the collective’s follow-up show, Single Black Female. An advocate of approaching local theatre markets as unique ecosystems in which each group plays a role that sustains the whole, Dr. Despain is proud of her work with professional, college, and community theatres in Tampa Bay, including Carrollwood Players, mad Theatre, HCC, USF, Stageworks, and the Straz Center. She is honored to be part of the Outcast fam.

Linda Edmundo

she/her

Linda Edmundo is thrilled to be working with Theater of the Oppressed and looks forward to today's experience. Linda's background started on stage as an actor in various plays on Theater Row in NYC. Since then she has gone on to many things including Time Traveling with Brian Unger.

Margarita Fernandez

she/her

Margarita comes to the collective with an extensive background in dance. Margarita recently played Millie in Outcast’s Where You From From, a Forum Theatre piece commissioned by the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Talia Fish

Talia Fish is a graduating senior at the University of South Florida pursuing her degree in theatre performance and creative writing. Tampa has welcomed her with open arms, though she’s only known it from a distance for four short years.  She can only hope her work may delve deeper into the core of what makes us who we are.

Devan Kelty

he/him

Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Devan is incredibly excited and grateful to be working with Outcast Theatre Collective and this amazing ensemble. Their hard work and support deserves to be recognized, especially in such difficult times. Devan hopes to encourage others to pursue their creativity and help create opportunities to do so.

Noreen Maier

she/her

Noreen is originally from Sag Harbor, NY where artists and writers were as much a part of the cultural landscape as were fisherman and farmers. She moved to Tampa in 1985 and almost 10 years later was introduced to some of the best theatre artists in the Tampa Bay area. She was a member of The Artist's Collective during which time she wrote and performed two one-woman shows.  
She's been a member of Outcast Theatre Collective since March of 2020 and wants to thank Clareann, Coky and the inspiring ensemble of OTC. Much love to Karla and Marcel.

Julliette Moore

she/her

Julliette "Jules" Moore is a theatre student at the University of South Florida. A self-described artist-activist, Jules is passionate that her art addresses the harder pills to swallow. Advocating for mental health issues and the queer community is especially important to Jules. A Tampa native, Jules is enraptured by our city and is determined to capture its charm in her work. Despite Jules’s recent entrance to the theatre industry she has made quite a splash here at the collective. Her recent work includes the first production of Orlando by Helen Tennison and Stealthcare: Transphobia in Telemedicine with the collective.

Carlos Segovia Perez

Carlos Segovia Perez

Carlos was introduced to the world of theatre by Cornelio ‘Coky’ Aguilera who organizes the “Dreamer’s Teatro Crew” in Dade City, Florida. With no prior theater experience Carlos was brave enough to start in a play directed by Cornelio “Coky” Aguilera at Farmworker’s Self-Help’s Cinco De Mayo Fiesta located in Dade City, Florida. In 2016, Carlos decided to attend law school and in July 2019 Carlos took and passed the Florida Bar. Currently Carlos serves on the board of Outcast Theatre Collective.
